HENRY AND MUDGE and the long weekend

“We still have the box the new refrigerator came in, and the box the new stove came in.”(p 14)

 

 

I understood Henry’s feeling. I don’t like rainy, but sometimes rain is good. I like sunny weather, because I will be able to go somewhere with friend or family. I envied Henry’s family, because they are good relationship. If I have family I am going to make good relationship family. If I have a child, I want to play soccer with my child.

 

 

Yuck: ゲェー（ひどい不快を表す）　　muddy: 泥の、さえない

Grumble: 不平を言う、不満をもらす　　flatten: 伸ばす、平らにする

Drool: よだれを垂らす　　refrigerator: 冷蔵庫、冷却室

Basement: 地階、地下室　　turret: 小塔

Drawbridge:跳ね橋
